About

"Estelle Gee's work is some of the finest I have seen.  There is an elegance to her artistry and the pieces themselves are marvels of beauty that hold within them layers of nuance and narrative."

T.K. art collector

Meet Estelle

A woman in glasses and a silver puffer jacket holding a brown curly-haired puppy during Christmas time, with decorated holiday greenery in the background.

Based in Bath, Ontario, Estelle is a collage and mixed media artist whose lifelong love of history, antiques and collecting stories (everyone has one!) constantly inspires her work.

Born in Quebec, Estelle spent many years in the book industry before creating the first space organizing company in Toronto. Orderly Lives garnered success and admiration from clients and other industry professionals.

Her current rural home provides the stillness and beauty necessary for artistic expression.

Artist Statement

In creating my collage and mixed media pieces, I hope to convey hope, solace and a reverence for the past. Collectors have said that my art elicits feelings of warmth, comfort and pleasant nostalgia.

I love to explore new techniques and incorporate handmade papers, vintage images, fabric and layering to achieve a unique creative result.

My creative journey has been a lifelong process but since retirement seven years ago, I have had the luxury of time to pursue my passion.

My artistic calling is best summed up by author Alice Walker: “Whenever you are creating beauty around you, you are restoring your own soul”. Largely self-taught, I appreciate the many teachers who have encouraged me to spread my creative wings.
